Effective 1 October 2026. Covers the TideBook iPhone app and the website tide-book.com.
The app
TideBook has no account system and no cloud backend. Every date and daily entry is stored only in the app's local storage on the phone it was entered on. We cannot see it, restore it or hand it over.
The app contains no analytics, advertising or crash-reporting SDKs and sends none of your entries over the network. You can erase all data from Settings inside the app, and deleting the app deletes it too.
TideBook Pro subscriptions are bought and managed through Apple. Apple handles payment and shares only aggregated sales and subscription reports with us, not your entries or identity.
The website
tide-book.com uses Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited, only if you choose "Allow" in the analytics prompt. If you choose "No thanks" or make no choice, no request is made to Google.
With your permission, Google Analytics stores a pseudonymous identifier in the _ga cookies and records which pages you open, which site or link brought you here, your browser and device type, an approximate region, and clicks on the "Send it to him", App Store and article links. Google signals and ad personalization are turned off, and we do not send names, messages or cycle information to Google.
We use this only to understand which parts of the site are useful. User-level data is kept for Google Analytics' standard retention period of 2 months; aggregated reports are kept longer.
You can change your choice at any time with the control at the bottom of every page. Withdrawing deletes the _ga cookies for this site.
The "Send it to him" button opens your device's own share sheet or copies a link. We do not receive who you send it to or what you write.
The site is hosted by Netlify, which processes standard request data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and protect the service.
Not a medical device
TideBook's predictions are estimates and cycles vary widely. It is not a contraceptive method and not a diagnostic tool.
